How It All Started
9Yards was born from a simple observation: Uganda's creative industry had incredible talent but lacked the infrastructure to compete globally. We saw artists, brands, and businesses settling for less than they deserved. We knew we could change that.
We started with content creation, helping brands tell their stories through design, video, and strategy. As we grew, we saw opportunities beyond traditional creative work. Why couldn't a creative company serve authentic Ugandan food? Why couldn't we offer film production and equipment rental under one roof? The answer was obvious: we could, and we should.
From one service to three companies. From a small team to 25+ creative professionals. From Kampala-focused to East Africa ambitions. We've produced music videos for Uganda's top artists, delivered thousands of meals across the city, and built a podcast studio that's becoming Kampala's creative hub. Every project taught us something. Every challenge made us stronger.
This is just the beginning. We're expanding our facilities, growing our team, and building new capabilities. Our mission remains the same: deliver international quality work that celebrates who we are. The future of Uganda's creative industry is bright, and we're building it one yard at a time.
